Back in 1999, Miltos Manetas and ArtProduction Fund commissioned to the California based Branding Company Lexicon, a new name for the Arts. The project was code-named "?Word" and was sponsored by Art Production Fund (APF sponsors this website until this day.)
 

In April 2000, Lexicon delivers many names from which to choose. Miltos Manetas and Mai Ueda, pick up "Neen".
